Jejomar Jojo Binay

Jejomar "Jojo" Cabauatan Binay was born on November 11, 1941. Jojo Binay is the current Vice President-elect of the Philippines after winning the the 2010 elections with 14,645,574 votes and the current mayor of Makati City, Philippines. They is also the President of the United Opposition (UNO), President of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), Chairman of Asia-Pacific Region Scout Committee and the President of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

Jojo Binay is married to Elenita Sombillo, a doctor of medicine. He was chosen Mayor of Makati in the 1998 elections, and served until 2001. Their union bore them two children: Maria Lourdes Nancy, Mar-Len Abigail (currently serving as representative for the 2nd District of Makati City), Jejomar Erwin (Mayor-elect of Makati City), Marita Angeline and Joanna Marie Blanca.

Philippine Election 2010 with PCOS Machine

Presidential elections, legislative elections and local elections in the Philippines were held on Monday, May 10, 2010. The elected president will become the 15th President of the Philippines, succeeding President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is barred from seeking re-election due to term restrictions. The successor of the Vice-President Noli de Castro will be the 15th Vice President of the Philippines. The legislators elected in the 2010 elections will join the senators of the 2007 elections and will comprise the 15th Congress of the Philippines.

The 2010 election will be administered by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in compliance with the Republic Act No. 9369, also known as Amended Computerization Act of 2007. It will be the first national computerized election in the history of the Philippines. Although, there were large cases of PCOS machine failures, there would be no postponement of elections since most technical issues were resolved by Election Day. Despite the fact that some provinces have reported failure of elections, these have not surpassed the 0.50% of the total number of PCOS machines, and most were replaced on time.

Noynoy Aquino

Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III was born on February 8, 1960. Noynoy Aquino is a Senator for the Philippines and a candidate for President of the Philippines in the 2010 election, intending to represent the Liberal Party. Noynoy Aquino is best known for being the only son of former President Corazon Aquino and Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr.

Noynoy Aquino is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, he was seriously wounded by rebel soldiers in a failed coup attempt during his mother's presidency. In 1998, he was elected to the House of Representatives as Representative of the 2nd district of Tarlac province in the 11th Congress of the Philippines. In 2007, he was elected to the Senate of the 14th Congress of the Philippines.

Noynoy Aquino is also the brother of TV host and actress Kris Aquino.

In light of his presidential bid, his critics claim that he cannot boast of any achievements other than those of his parents and some have raised concerns over his unremarkable performance prior to his rise to prominence after his mother's death. In his defense, Noynoy's sister, Pinky, stated that he was merely shy.
